We are pleased to announce that you are invited to join us for a FREE seminar on ‘How to Make Yourself Employable’ followed by FREE food and drinks at The Lawyer on Thursday 31 March 2016.
The seminar is aimed at all division members (whether you are looking for work or not) with 10 minute talks / presentations followed by Q&A by:
- Our sponsors, Errington Legal (a leading legal recruiter in East Anglia) will be discussing the current legal job market, and advising on what candidates should be thinking about when they consider making a career move. They will be offering tips on how you can enhance your employability, and will of course be happy to answer any questions you may have.
- Jessica Piper from Ashton KCJ, and Norwich & Norfolk Law Society Trainee of the Year 2015, will be speaking on how to impress on your training contract and tips for being retained by your firm.
- Lisa-Marie Kennedy (Principal Associate) and Lucy Whipps (Senior Associate) from Mills & Reeve – covering what firms are looking for in junior candidates including how to impress on paper and at interview.
The event is designed to enhance members skill set in terms of employability, inform them of current trends in the market and how you can make yourself stand out from the rest.
The seminar will be held at Mills & Reeve, 1 St James Court, Whitefriars, Norwich NR3 1RU starting at 5:30pm and will last for no longer than 1 hour. We will then head to The Lawyer for some refreshments where the speakers will be present.
