Sam Sutton – President
I am currently a Trainee Solicitor at Mills & Reeve LLP. I graduated with a degree in Law and French Law and Language from the University of East Anglia in 2014 and completed my LPC at BPP Cambridge. After working as a music teacher and administrator for 2 years, I began my training contract in September 2016. As President of the NNJLD, it is my responsibility to oversee the running of the Division and to pull all the committee members together as a team. Whether you are interested in becoming a committee member or attending events, the NNJLD is a great way to meet other like-minded young lawyers so please do get involved.
Hayley Mortlock – Vice President
I am a Solicitor at Hatch Brenner LLP in the Family Law department. I graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a Law degree in 2013 and completed my Legal Practice Course at Kaplan Law School in London. As Vice President, my role is to support the President and the rest of the Committee in the running of the division and organising events. I am looking forward to working closely alongside all of the Committee members and seeing existing and future members at the upcoming NNJLD events.
Alex Hacking – Website & Communications Representative
I am a Solicitor at Ashtons Legal in the Agriculture & Estates department. I graduated with a Law degree from the University of East Anglia in 2014, and completed my LPC at BPP Cambridge. As Website & Communications Representative, it is my job to make sure that all our members are kept informed about our upcoming events. Rumer Burnett – Treasurer & Education Officer
I am currently a Trainee Solicitor at Mills & Reeve LLP. I graduated from Bournemouth University in 2016 with a Law degree, and completed the LPC at BPP University in London in 2017. I am the Treasurer and Fund-Raising Officer and my role is took look after the financial affairs of the NNJLD, as well as seeking sponsorship opportunities and assisting the rest of the committee with events. Paige George – Social Secretary
I am a Paralegal in the Private Client team at Cozens-Hardy LLP. I graduated as a Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals in 2016 and also became an Affiliate member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners in 2017. As Social Secretary of the NNJLD I am responsible for organising the social events for all members throughout the upcoming year, and hope to make it a memorable year for all involved. Lucy Mitchell – National Representative & Regional Relations Officer
I am a Solicitor at Mills & Reeve LLP. I graduated from Kings College London in 2013, and went on to study the GDL and LPC at Kaplan Law School in London. I started my training contract in September 2015. As National Representative & Regional Relations Officer, I’m responsible for representing the NNJLD at national meetings, and also for corresponding with various other local organisations.
